Welcome to our Brazil vs Germany predictions, head to head and preview. So here we are at the semi-finals of the World Cup and a mouth-watering match in prospect. Brazil will be without two influential players in Neymar and Thiago Silva. They certainly haven’t looked the quality of past Brazilian teams, but they are also doing what many Brazilian teams didn’t do in the past – playing with heart. They really want to win this for their country, and in these days of professionalism that isn’t always true of all national teams. Germany on the other hand are the perpetual Tournament team. They looked pretty ordinary in the friendlies building up to this, but put them in a tournament and that all changes. What a game this is going to be.

Recent Form

Brazil have won 3 and drawn two of their last five matches.

Germany have won 4 and drawn one of their last 5 matches.

Road to Glory

As the home team Brazil didn’t have to play any qualification matches. They drew 0-0 against Mexico, looking anything but impressive. But they have then gone on to trash Cameroon, draw with Chile and Beat Colombia 2-1. Can they win this for the home fans?

Germany set tongues at the World Cup wagging with their 4-0 demolition of Portugal in their opening match, but did they peak too soon? They then slipped to a disappointing 2-2 draw against Ghana, where they had to come from behind to secure the draw. For many this was one of the best matches of the World Cup. What is it with Germany and a dip in form for the second group game? They then secured a 1-0 win against a gallant USA, to qualify out of the group. They were then pretty ordinary against Algeria in a 0-0 draw, but scored 2 goals in extra time to secure their progression and send Algeria home. An early goal put paid to France in a 1-0 win. Will Germany become the first European team to win a world cup in South America?

Head 2 Head

These teams have met on nine occasions. Brazil has won five, there were two draws and two wins for Germany. With 34 goals scored in the nine matches, they have proven to be a goal fest at times, with 7 of the 9 matches having 3 goals or more.

Team News

Brazil will be without Neymar and Thiago Silva. Germany will be without S. Mustafi
