The coach Sinisa Mihajlovic spoke to both the Milan Channel in the wake of the rossoneri’s defeat at home to Napoli in Serie A TIM on Sunday night. This is what he said: “I know it’s bad to say this, but tonight we lost to the better side. Their forwards made the difference. We cannot afford however to make the kind of individual errors that we made against an attack of that caliber. The match was put to bed after their second goal and we were unable to react. We’re weak mentally and there have been too many highs and lows. We’re trying to get better and the players do train well during the week, but we will have to work even harder. The team I selected tonight was the best one I had available as we had several injuries and there were few options available.

The lads are upset about the defeat and they were down in the changing rooms, which is only to be expected. We have to give credit to Napoli who are stronger than us at this moment in time. We cannot lose confidence and we need to come out of this situation as soon as possible and we will work towards achieving that. We are set to lose several players on international duty, but we will work all the same with those that are here at Milanello.”
