Here is our preview of this weekends premier league match between Tottenham v Hull City, which promises to be an engrossing encounter.

On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur will be visited by Hull City A.F.C. in a Premier League clash. Both teams will come into the game having had a successful start to the league. Newly promoted Hull will be looking to continue their run of form that currently has them in ninth place, level on points with Manchester United.

Recent Form

In their last six games, Tottenham are having the better form, recording one more win than Hull. Both teams have lost twice, however Hull have recorded one more draw than spurs (three).

Tottenham’s form is expected to improve as the season goes on, once the team is more gelled.

Head to Head

The teams have not played each other since Hull were last in the premier league in the 2009/10 season. In their last 5 matches Tottenham hold the momentum having won three (60%), drawn one (20%) and lost one (20%).

There have been 13 goals in the last five matches creating an average of 2.6 goals per game.

Goals Conceded

With eight games played, Tottenham have conceded five (average of 0.6 per game). Hull have conceded nine (average of 1.1 per game). The teams have closer in goals scored with Tottenham and Hull scoring eight and seven respectively.

Teams News

Tottenham have three players expected to return on match-day. Kaboul, Rose and Capoue will all be touch and go on the day but may leave Tottenham with a fully fit team. Tottenham will be looking at Andros Townsend to continue his run of form; having just finished a stunning two game run at international level and scoring against Aston Villa.

Hull will be without forward Danny Graham, however in recent weeks they have seen Robbie Brady return.

As with all Premier League fixtures, this looks to be fantastic. All eyes will be on young Andros Townsend as Tottenham fight to get back into the top 4 and resume their title challenge. We expect this to be another home win for Tottenham and would be very surprised by any other result.
